Embodied

Our bodies carry patterns shaped by experience. Nervous system responses, emotional regulation, posture, tension patterns, sensation, and impulse all develop over time, influenced by our environments and our histories.

Through mindful, somatic, and relational practices, we can begin to recognize these patterns as they arise and develop new ways of responding. Rather than being swept along by activation, shutdown, or unconscious reactivity, we learn to listen to the signals of the body with curiosity and care, carving out a space to make choices more aligned with both our values and our vision.

Embodied awareness supports pattern disruption, self-confidence, self-empowerment, self-trust, and agency. As we make these shifts within ourselves, we may more effectively contribute to a world that is in desperate need of more embodied, connected, and resourced change-makers.

Alive

Healing is not only about understanding the past or managing symptoms. It is also about becoming more available to the present moment - to sensation, emotion, intuition, connection, and possibility.

As we learn to shift attention away from automatic thought patterns and into direct experience, we may begin to meet life with more clarity and responsiveness. Outdated threat responses can soften, and new choices can become available.

Clients often describe this as feeling more integrated, more present, and more able to participate in their own lives. Rather than feeling like life is happening to them, they begin to experience themselves as integrated, responsive, and alive.

An Approach that works for you

Change happens when we are willing to explore the edges of what feels familiar, possible, or safe — and compassionately move toward a fuller vision of who we want to be. This kind of honest exploration takes courage, vulnerability, curiosity, and often a sense of humor.

Therapy and massage can offer meaningful tools and support, but you remain the expert on your own experience. Sessions are collaborative and shaped around your goals, your pace, and the approach that best supports you.

I am trauma-informed, sex and body-positive, and committed to increasing my social awareness. I believe it is essential to consider how systems of power and privilege relate to each person’s experience in the world and welcome these considerations and inquiries in my office.
